Volleyball Club, operating under the Student Union Committee, was created to promote a healthy lifestyle among students, increase interest in sports, and create an active youth environment at the university. The main goal of the club is to strengthen students' physical fitness, develop team spirit and contribute to the effective organization of their free time. Both girls' and boys' teams operate here. Both teams were formed as a result of the selections held by the faculty. Club members regularly participate in trainings and improve their skills under the guidance of experienced coaches. During the trainings, the players are taught tactical thinking, teamwork and emotional stability during the game, along with technical knowledge. The Volleyball Club serves to create an atmosphere of mutual support, friendship and cooperation among students.
One of the most important principles of the club is equality and mutual respect. Here, the opinion of each member is valued and the success of the team is valued as a joint effort of each participant. Club members actively participate in tournaments held within the university, interfaculty competitions and various sports events. These competitions create an atmosphere of both competition and fun. Successful players get the opportunity to play on the university's official volleyball team. A more intensive training program is prepared for selected students. This program is aimed at increasing their physical and psychological endurance. The club is not only limited to sports activities, but at the same time it also creates conditions for the development of leadership, responsibility and motivation skills of the members. Each member is considered an integral part of the team, and unity and solidarity are emphasized during the game. The coaches of the club evaluate the individual potential of students, guide them correctly and support them in the development process. New members are accepted at the beginning of each academic year. At the selection stage, students' interest, ability, and potential to work in a team are taken as the main criteria.
Thanks to the club's activities, students not only practice sports, but also learn values such as common sense, discipline, and purposefulness. The Volleyball Club occupies a special place in the social and sports life of the university. It contributes to both physical and spiritual development of students. One of the main goals of the club is to spread volleyball more widely among university youth and to attract new talents to this sport. The team spirit formed here also serves to strengthen friendships among students. Today, the Volleyball Club of THIK is considered one of the most active and exemplary sports associations of university youth.
