Institute of Bioresources of the Nakhchivan Branch of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev dated August 07, 2002 "On the establishment of the Nakhchivan Branch of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences", Nakhchivan It was created on the basis of the biology chair of the Regional Science Center and the Nakhchivan Scientific-Research base of the Institute of Genetic Resources. According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 28, 2022, the Institute of Bioresources was subordinated to the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
