The SAT (14.06.2023) registration and examination center operating under the American College Board is operating in NSU in addition to the IELTS center operating under the British Council Azerbaijan, in order to support the international relations of the higher education institution, English-language teaching, increase the foreign language skills of the academic staff of the university, and provide access to foreign exams and education in prestigious American and European universities. The centers contribute to the development not only of the university, but also of the region as a whole. Nakhchivan State University is the first state Higher Education Institution operating as an SAT exam center. On June 14, 2023, Nakhchivan State University was officially registered as an SAT exam center by the College Board of the United States of America. The SAT center at Nakhchivan State University operates in the following directions:
- Online registration for digital SAT exam;
- Acting as an examination center;
- act as a SAT consulting center;
- Acting as an SAT preparation center.
Coordinator, assistant coordinator, proctor, technical specialist and hall supervisor operate in the center. 149 students participated in 5 (+1 make-up test) exams held in the center in the 2023-2024 academic year. The examinees are mainly students of Nakhchivan MR and various schools located in Baku. In addition to Azerbaijanis, Turkish and Iranian students also participated in the exams held in the center.
